I have many years of experience in the hospital as an L&D nurse, but after having my own children and needing help from an IBCLC, I transitioned to lactation education and care. In my free time I love to garden, read and eat Thai food.

I’m Allison Mendoza, IBCLC and professional “is this normal?” answerer! As a mom of four who has worked through my own lactation struggles, I bring both clinical experience and real life perspective to my practice. Feeding your baby shouldn’t come with confusion, pain or a side of guilt, so think of me as your expert/hype person, here to give you answers, options, & a plan that actually works for you.

I’m a business guru and lactation professional, with 3 young boys. I love coffee and baking and I have recently taken up gardening. Life is full of continuous learning!

I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2014, the same year I had my first baby. After a difficult start to breastfeeding, I found support that inspired a career shift. From 2016–2023, I worked as a postpartum doula and lactation educator. I became an IBCLC in 2024 and now support families at Nurture Lactation.

During my dietetic internship to become a registered dietitian, I first encountered a lactation consultant and was inspired by the fulfillment she found helping families. After breastfeeding my first child, my passion grew, and later I successfully nursed my twins until age 3. These experiences deepened my commitment to supporting parents. I also enjoy gardening, walks, and cooking with my three beautiful boys.

Hi! Congratulations!! My name is Brenda and I am an international board certified lactation consultant. I decided I wanted to become a lactation consultant while working my first nursing job as a perinatal nurse. My passion grew as I had my own babes and had to learn how to navigate breastfeeding difficulties with them. I’m currently breastfeeding my youngest and love to debunk all the lactation fads.

My name is Callie and I am a nurse and a IBCLC. I provide compassionate, evidence-based lactation support. My goal is to help parents feel confident, and supported throughout their feeding journey, whether you are breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding or a combination of everything. I especially enjoy bottle refusal and complete flange fittings. I will help YOU reach YOUR goal. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
