About Our Team

Lactation Consultants of America (LCA) was founded in September 2022 to bring together skilled Lactation Consultants dedicated to serving families through accessible, insurance-covered care.

We recognize that breastfeeding and chestfeeding support is preventative medicine, essential for long-term health. That’s why we’re working directly with insurance companies to ensure lactation services are covered benefits—removing financial barriers and making high-quality care available to more families.

LCA partners with active private practice Lactation Consultants and Doulas across the country. By uniting independent providers under one network, we expand access for families while also creating new opportunities for consultants to thrive in their practices. Together, we are building a system where families can receive personalized, in-home lactation and birth support that’s both compassionate and billed through insurance.

Our vision is simple:

      • For families: equitable access to quality perinatal care.
      • For providers: meaningful partnerships that sustain and elevate private practice.
      • For communities: healthier beginnings and stronger support networks for parents and babies.
